NK Breaking 2021: The road to Olympic gold!
The first official Dutch Breaking Championship will take place on September 12th, 2021 at the Topsportcentrum Rotterdam.
Breakdancing, generally referred to as Breaking by dancers themselves, becomes an Olympic sport and will be included at the 2024 Summer Games in Paris. For the first time in history B-Boys and B-Girls will compete for Olympic gold at the “Biggest Sport Show on Earth”.
On the road to Paris, Dutchbboy and the NADB (Nederlandse Algemene Danssport Bond) join forces. Together with the Rotterdam Street Culture Week, Rotterdam Topsport, The Notorious IBE and the Dutch Breaking League, they will present the first official Dutch Breaking Championship on Sunday September 12th.
The competition The competition consists of three disciplines: Solo Kids up to and including 14 years, Solo Women and Solo Men. Participation is open to anyone residing in the Netherlands.

The NK Breaking does not opt for “Testing for Access” but for Social Distancing. On the grandstand, stickers indicate which seats may be used. For participants, Social Distancing does not apply on the dance floor. Right next to the dance floor. All attendees are kindly but urgently requested to respect the Corona rules. In short: wash your hands regularly, keep your distance, stay seated as much as possible. If you have health problems, stay home.
